Dr. Hiromi Shinya was a pioneer of colonoscopic techniques, the inventor of the electrosurgical polypectomy snare, which allowed for the removal of colon polyps without the need for invasive surgery.
He was leading endocrinologist, clinical professor of surgery, head of the endoscopic center at Beth Israel Medical Center, Vice-chairman of the Japanese Medical Association in the United States.
He also wrote the books, The Enzyme Factor & The Microbe Factor. Two million copies of his book, The Enzyme Factor has been sold. In his book and even on the cover Dr. Shinya extols the virtues of drinking alkaline ionized water, specifically, Kangen Water® produced only by the Enagic® devices. Dr. Shinya puts all his patients on Kangen Water® as part of his recommended diet.
